I would suggest you to prepare for boards and engineering entrance exam simultaneously. Clear your foundations from Class 11th and 12th NCERT books. Start your preparation as early as you can. Practice pravious year question papers and sample question papers. Identify your weaker and stronger areas and work on it. Clarify your doubts from your teachers/collaegues etc.

I would suggest not taking a drop. Simply continue with your education and if you really want to get your foundations right, no one is stopping you from studying them while doing your further studies. If you are really inspired, you will definitely work your way for it. Best of luck!

Yes you can for your better preparation. Also if you are so determined about it then only you should drop otherwise i will never suggest it to do. Decision is yours.
