BCA or Bsc in Computer Science?

Hi All,

I have done my II PU in Commerce with Computers, I have keen interest in computers(networks and programming). I need to chose the UG course I need to pursue, I am a bit confused about BCA or Bsc. Could any help me out what would be better to pursue?

You should go for BCA. In certain universities like LPU, Amity, SRM you can even get a scholarship on the basis of your percentage in +2.

It would be better to do BCA if you want to make a career in Programming sector as it will help while enrolling for MCA like master degree needed to be a qualified programmer. But opt for a regular course rather correspondence from any reputed college or institute which must have approval from AICTE and UGC for the specific course, i.e. BCA or MCA for the current session in which you're enrolling.

I dont think that it is going to make a difference because you can opt MCA after completion any of the courses.

in my opinion u should do bachelor in computer science because there is more scope in this field. After that u can do master in computer science.

BCA give you more deep knowledge as compare to computer science subject in B.sc because in B. Sc the syllabus is not go into depth of any subjects.

BCA degree is much better than B.sc. BCA is a professional degree and it will help you to find job but if you want B.sc then you can't find the good job after B.sc. You need some professional qualification as well just after B.Sc degree

I recommend you to do BCA, it is much better. After that i recommend you to do MCA and after that you will not have to worry about your future.
