Give me your suggestions and comments about the CBSE-i syllabus

Can someone please give me your suggestions and comments about the CBSE-i syllabus. I've just put my son in one school which offers this and the orientation program says there will be minimal writing and more activity based teaching and learning. I am a bit confused if i took the right decision. will my son be able to compete with the other cbse kids for indian courses...
