NEET stands for National Cum Entrance Test.NEET is common test conducted for admission in MBBS and BDS Courses.This is not an easy task.It is conducted on national level.The Medical Council of India (MCI) recommended the following syllabus for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses across the country (NEET-UG) after review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE, NCERT and COBSE. As you have seen in the earlier replies, NEET stands for 'National Eligibility cum Entrance Test'. However, as per Supreme Court's latest Judgement in July 2013, the 'National Eligibility cum Entrance Tests' (NEET) will no longer be conducted.
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS Course in each academic year. The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.
