FUSION: it means the mixing/diffusion/amalgation of two products i.e when they mix with each other that they are called fusion.hence,this is called fusion in a simple manner.hence,fusion is the combination of two nucleus.

FISSION:it can be explained as when a nuclei is distributed into two parts and at that time a large amount of energy is liberated too.so this process is known as fission.
