William School Scholarship Program

Canada Education Alliance (CEA) is a nonprofit organization which supports efforts to educate future global leaders. As a concrete action, CEA provides scholarship opportunities to deserving students, regardless of country of origin, who would like to earn their high school diploma under the Ontario Curriculum.

The CEA is currently accepting applications for Scholarships for study at William School, a co-educational private school located in Toronto, offering High School credits towards an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Scholarship Application Deadline for the 2014 Fall Term - April 4, 2014
Scholarships recognize the academic achievement and contributions to the community that students have made. All students, regardless of their country of origin, are eligible to apply for scholarships and/or financial aid. Students wishing to apply for both scholarships and financial aid will need to submit an application form.
Who is Qualified to Apply?
Applicants must be currently enrolled in Grade 9, 10 or 11. Successful applicants will have a combined average over 80% with no subject below 75%. For Candidates whose language of instruction is not English, English proficiency must also be demonstrated (IELTS over 5.5 or TOFEL score above 46).
How to Apply
Students wishing to apply for scholarships must provide the following: a completed Scholarship Application Form, transcript and resume. The resume should address volunteer experiences the candidate has had and any awards he/she has already won.
Students applying for the _Future World Leader Scholarship Award must also submit a maximum 500-word paragraph outlining why they wish to study in Canada for review by the Selection Committee. All documents must be submitted in a package together before the March 3rd deadline. Suitable candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Scholarship Descriptions
Williams Entrance Scholarships ($13,800/year)
Each year, 20 Entrance Scholarships are granted, providing deserving students access to one of the best education systems in the world. Interested applicants should provide a completed copy of the application form, and transcript for review by the Selection Committee. Suitable candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Future World Leader Scholarship Award($25,800/year)
A Selections Committee will begin reviewing applicants eligible for the Future World Leader Scholarship Awards on March 3rd, 2014; 10 Awards for Excellence are offered each year with an additional $12,000 towards living expenses.
Scholarship Renewals
Williams Entrance Scholarships ($13,800/year) are renewable for up to three years provided the student maintains academic eligibility, contributes to the school community, and continues to fulfill the promise of success that was the basis of the award.
Scholar’s Responsibilities:

Upon admission to William School as scholars, the student will need to maintain an average mark of 80 and above in all courses that they take. Student performance will be assessed based on their marks, attendance, and behavior each term to determine their continuance in the scholarship program awarded by CEA.
