Writing improvement exam for all subjects to appear in IIT & AIEE exams?

Hi,

I want to write improvement exam for 4 subjects, already send application for the same opting those 4 subjects. Recently I heard that one should appear in all the 5 subjects for improvement, then only eligible to appear for IIT-JEE. Please tell me whether this all 5 subjects mandatory thing is applicable for IIT-JEE and AIEE. IF all 5 subjects are mandatory then how can I send application for the 5th subject, is it necessary to send the application form again opting all 5 subjects or simply send another application form opting only the 5th one?
